I confess I wrote short stories to my friends during such classes. We also drew cartoons to illustrate. We then read out loud at lunch the stories we wrote to each other under the guise of "taking notes".

LOL I dealt with this since '05 and that was kindergarten. Basically, you should chew gum. Been doing that for years and it works!
