This guy at work is going on holidays with his girlfriend, but he said he's going with a girl at workplace. Why did he say that? He said that when he was asked about holidays and everyone laughed.

He isn't going on holiday with the girl at work, he said it as a joke. The ones who laughed got it. The ones who didn't laugh are jocular impaired.
