A low GPA with a very high score on sat. Everything is good about this student accept for his GPA and difficulty of the classes he took.?

Do u think his chances are still good for good colleges like hunter, liu, baruch, possibly even nyu?

I agree with Judy. The candidate is good as passing a one off general exam but is unable to put in the long term work needed to get through the boring bits. This wi why they want both a decent SAT and GPA.

If I were on the admissions committee, I would be concerned. I would want to know WHY his GPA is low, why he shied away from difficult classes, and why he still doesn't know the difference between "except" and "accept".
