whenever my friends dog sees me, he shows his teeth for like one second, but then wags his tail and comes near me to pet him. He also doesn't growl and is very friendly. I just don't understand why he shows his teeth?

My dog does that as well. She is smiling. When I talk really squeaky she does the same thing as it makes her happy.
