How did humans discover cow milk? Was a random guy just sucking on a cows nipple?

You mean other than seeing babies suck down mother's milk?

It was likely quite normal. Someone desperate for food saw a suckling calf and thought it would be a good idea. Then they realized that it can be used to make tasty products and the rest is history.

Probably not. They certainly knew that cattle provided milk to their calves and they knew human women did the same thing. They went through periods of hunger so they probably figured out that they could keep their cow and drink it too.

He probably noticed the calves having dinner and was like "woah there's food in there?!?"
