Do colleges look down on applicants who do fighting as a sport?

This is kind of a stupid question but I’m a female boxer and I’m wondering if that looks bad on college apps? I don’t do matches frequently and I’ve never fought in school or anything but I guess I’m a little bit paranoid about it.

    Depends on the colleges.

I would leave it off. It is not like you are getting an athletic scholarship. This is really not part of your education, although it could be. If they are asking about sports are there any other sports you could use? It is no big whoop if you put it down.

Fighting? Wrestling, boxing, martial arts fighting. No university do not look down upon them, those are legitimate sports.

They shouldn't. Boxing is an Olympic event after all.

Only if they're really tall colleges.

Goodness no! Variety and uniqueness make you stand out! Good Luck!
