How many words you’re unfamiliar with do you encounter a day?

Not oftener than every few months. This is what happens when you read a lot: you encounter lots and lots of words in their contexts and can't help but understand them.

On this site, just about every day. They aren't actual words, however; they are either misspellings so bad you can't make out what was intended, or just plain intentional gibberish.

Most days, none. It does happen occasionally though. I welcome learning new words and figuring out how to use them in my daily speaking and writing. ☺

In a day? None. But then I live in Switzerland and speak German, French, English and understand most Swiss-German dialects.

I am English .. but I live in France. I've been here for 14 years and like to think that I am reasonably fluent. However .. I still hear at least one word that I don't understand almost daily !!
