Because they can't, owing to the absence of atmosphere for lift to operate on their wings.

Have you ever BEEN THERE ??? That broken-down excuse for an 'airport' is closer to a land fill, and I for one wouldn't get within twenty miles of the place.. THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE A STARBUCKS !!!!!!!

There aren't any landing strips on the Moon, and therefore no passport control, so planes aren't allowed to land.

Because planes can't just fly to the Moon. Airplanes fly in air.

    Careful, your ignorance is showing.

Because above about 60 miles altitude there is not enough air to support an airplane's wings, or fire the jet engines for that matter. Above that altitude, the only way to keep going is to carry your oxidizer with you and fly faster than any plane can.
