Who came up for the name for our planet?

Nobody, it just happened. It used to mean ground and then people realised it was a globe and like other planets. It does also get called Terra and Gaia, which are Latin and Greek names.

Ancient alchemy considered earth one of the four elements. Earth, air, fire and water, along with a hypothetical fifth element called "Quintessence". I would guess that is where it entered into the English.

Its not really our planet ,we don't own it;we are Just tenants.The planet in the Biblical record of Creation is referred to as Eretz in the Hebrew language.

The name "Terra" is Latin for "ground". So it wasn't a "who" that came up with it, it was a "how".
