Why don't most women dress pretty and feminine like they did in the 1940s and 1950s?

cause its expensive to dress like that and some of us cant find jobs

Because they choose not to. Just as men generally don't dress in suits and ties, with trilby hats, as they did in the 40s and 50s.

because it's not with the times...BUT i've always loved fashion from the 20s! it's so gorgeous.

Some do, but fashion changes over time. Men generally don't dress like they did in that era either.
