Sometimes British English and American English are spelled different, even for the same word. In those cases, both are fine.

In Britain and in many countries which are mainly English-speaking - travelling. In the USA specifically - traveling.

they both seem right to me. I would go with "travelling" with two L but they mean the same thing. I don't think most would know the difference, unless it a major term paper or something.

Two Ls in English (reflecting the fact that we pronounce it "travel ling"). One L in the language they speak in the USA. Since septics pronounce it "trav ling", I don't know why Webster bothered with the E.

Travel - ing Traveling. There is no reason to double the letter "l" in American English.
