Should corporal punishment up to six cracks of the paddle be an option for Junior and senior high school athletes as its is in Texas?

With a parental consent form. I was reading in one of the school required the high school football athletes to be eligible for corporal punishment to be on the team the head coach was authorized to deliver the paddling.

No. Multiple studies have show that punishment is a very poor motivator and leads to multiple other problems
