Is it fair and equal that men can be charged higher auto insurance premiums, but women can’t be charged higher health insurance premiums?

    It is fair and it is wrong: it is fair that man can be charged higher premiums because it is a private industry that sets the rates. It is WRONG to say "women can't be charged higher premiums" because they can - same reason.

    The healthcare law is national, car insurance is regulated by states. Work on your state legislature to make car insurance laws as fair as the healthcare law.

    If John went to a lemonade stand and was charged $1.00, and Sally went to the same stand and was charged $0.50, did they pay an equal amount? No. $1.00>$0.50. It wouldn't be fair that he had to pay more.
