Why is my body numb and I can't feel any emotions after someone I knew died?

I just feel nothing and feel nothing matters anymore. It has been this way for 12 hours. I feel in a daze.

    You're in shock. Everyone processes death and loss in different ways. Talking helps. If you feel like it, crying helps too.
