Does deep breathing cure anxiety?

For some it does help. Some close their eyes & take deep breaths to calm down. Some put their head between their knees. Other breath in a bag...Everyone is different so while 1 thing may work for some it doesn't work for others.

It helps quite a bit but it isn't a cure. It's like the difference between prescriptions and cure. You can take prescriptions to help manage things like depression but they won't cure it

Nope, just the opposite, stop breathing and everything will be fine

It can. Meditation and deep breathing excercises have shown to improve anxiety disorders. Also listening to mantras and soothing music.

For a while, yes. But it doesn't last as you can't breathe deeply when eating, talking, running, etc.
