I graduated hs 10 years ago, but insurance was never an issue when i was playing sports. I would assume it doesn't matter weather you have it or not in today's world also.

You need health insurance, not life insurance.

You need health insurance! And your parents better make sure they have enough cash in savings to cover deductibles, etc. IF you were to get hurt, bills could be huge. Sports injuries are pretty common. And they often require rehab, physical therapy, etc.

I never heard of such a thing. When I was in high school, nobody worried about insurance with extra-curricular activities. What a world!
