What's the grammatically correct way to write this? What punctuation mark should go between 'Brazil' and 'except'?
We are with you, Brazil. Except the Mexicans. They want to see you lose.
That question has nothing to do with grammar. It's about punctuation. Punctuation is not grammar.
Another comma is necessary, as in: "We are all with you, Brazil, except for the Mexicans. They want to see you lose".
