As a retired Social Security recipient, I used to think I could expect an annual increase in my monthly check. Trump wants to stop paying me. I can remember in the 1970s when my FICA was more than my take-home. I paid in, now I deserve to be paid.

Nope. Our yearly raises are entirely merit based, with no cost of living adjustments. Do a good job, get a raise (if the economy allows for it).

No. It usually happens, but they tell us every year that it's not a guarantee.

Nobody ever does, fool.

Guaranteed? No. I generally get a cost of living raise each year, because my managers understand basic economics and don't view me as property.

No... just as/when my employer feels like it (unless I need a rise for legal reasons... i.e., increase in minimum wage)

Yes, I now bring home an extra 120 each week in salary thanks to trump.
